Khaya Foundation was born out of a heart to serve children from disadvantaged backgrounds, and a desire to undo some of the injustices of this world. Many children are robbed of the opportunity to achieve their dreams due to economic hardship. Education should not be a privilege, it is a right for all. I decided to start Khaya Foundation to wage war against poverty and privilege. Every child, given the right opportunity has the potential to change their circumstances, their story and ultimately the world. Khaya Foundation affords us the opportunity to alter destinies, and the honour to impact lives.

I am apart of Khaya because together we are the difference. I am honoured to be a member of this charity because the core values of Khaya foundation are to build young people through education, by empowerment and just with a simple act of kindness so that children can have a better future. In order to get a chance to get the shot, one simply needs someone to position them in the right place. I see what these children will become and am blessed to help effect change despite their adversities and backgrounds. Together we are building the future & making a difference one life at a time.

I joined Khaya Foundation because I fully support their mission, and I also like the idea of serving others and giving back, especially to the younger generations. I am a firm believer that every child deserves a chance to live a comfortable life, and providing an education is one way to create possibilities and empower them. Children from disadvantage backgrounds need our support. By giving them a gift of education, not only do we create space for their imaginations to flourish, but we also give them a fighting chance for a brighter future.

I believe knowledge through education is a gateway to creativity and opportunity. It has the potential to empower individuals to create their own opportunities through creative thinking and impact destiny. I believe this because it has been my story, and my motivation in being a fundraising ambassador for Khaya foundation is that if l can make it possible for another to have access to education even in the smallest possible way. l would play my part because the ocean is never the same even with the slightest drop.

TAIBAH ROBERTS-SECRETARY

I chose to join the Khaya foundation, because I know the power that education can bring to an individual and a community.  Education provides the ability to shift social and economic boundaries and I passionately believe it is a right that all should have. To be able to work alongside like minded people with a united objective is a blessing, and to be able to provide a community with a catalyst to change their circumstances is in the truest sense; awesome. I wholeheartedly believe that change starts as an individual, provides growth to a community and ultimately creates a great nation.  I want that for the future of our world.
